![]() ![]() #I've priced this mixer to sell, with a fully working PSU and meter bridge these are hard to come by for the right price. Should be quite easy to remove again if you feel the need to and any sticky residue should clean off quite easily. ![]() It was put on fresh again a few months ago and I've just left it there. Apart from being able to see the screws whoever did the work did a good job, there's no noticeable difference in sound or quality and has served me well in the years I've had it.There is some masking tape along the bottom as shown in the picture, I just use this so I can easily name the tracks that I'm using. ![]() Some of the buttons don't always make contact when pressed but if you do it enough times it's ok, this is common with mixers, especially of this age and will probably just need a good going over with contact cleaner.Number 9 fader (see pic) has been replaced in the past which is noticeable by the screws top and bottom. It has a A/B mix buttons too so effectively I think this creates 48 channels, I know through the bus you can also connect it directly to another MX8000 mixer, probably other mixers too.#Issues past/present you need to be aware of:The power supply was serviced by myself when I first had it, I'm not sure but I think there was either an issue with one of the regulators or capacitors causing power issues but this was corrected and it's worked well ever since.Although I've tried to look after it as best I can it will need a good service. Apparently the circuit boards for the MX8000 are a direct copy of the Mackie ones but Mackie lost the case.It comes with a printed book, although the book is for the MX9000 I've been told there are only a few differences between the two mixers. In all the time I've had it I've always put a towel over it to prevent dust from getting inside but I know this doesn't stop everything. The MX8000 is the very same mixer that Behringer got into copyright issues with Mackie back in 1999. I used it a lot with my band since 2011 but for the last 2 years it's just sat there doing nothing, just like my band. Behringer Eurodesk MX8000 48/24-Channel Dual Input 8-Bus Mixing Console inc Meter Bridge and 400w PSUI've had this desk now since 2010 and it's been in my smoke free home studio ever since.
